Rambling angsty happiness

I’m confused.
We had a great weekend. Some fun, some domesticity and several long chats. All quite grown up behaviour. And I find myself wondering whether it’s too grown up? (And therefore boring?). Certainly sobriety has brought a (previously rarely seen) sensible vein of decision making. Tired? Go to bed. Previously of course the answer would have [...]

Text messages: Dangerous things

Here’s a tip: Do not send flirtatious/slightly rude text messages to your new love interest. At least not in work hours.
Apparently if you have a really flash phone, text messages appear on the outside of the phone as a sort of preview. Which means that the colleague who sits next to him also sees them.

Booze, bruise and flashbacks

Great fun at a party last night. Today I have several bruises, a hangover and several flashbacks. Mostly all good.
Flashback No 1:
Getting chatted up persistently by a 60 yr old man who looks not dissimilar to my father. My continued “that’s very kind of you but no, sadly, I’m unavailable that day. Oh and that [...]

The Bad
I then danced with an over-enthusiastic free-thinker who knackered my back. I wanted to lie on the floor and cry. [...]

Another girl's fear

Girl gets the fear. She’s being too needy towards the boyfriend. She’s calling him too often and texting him. Or rather she thinks she is.
So she deletes his email and phone number.
And then the next day has to email me and ask me for her boyfriend’s number.
Makes me seem positively calm by comparison. Hurrah.

The Wedding and The Fear

The wedding was lovely - and really good fun. She looked gorgeous. He looked more dapper than I’ve ever seen him. And he grinned from ear to ear throughout. Food was gorgeous, the speeches, always my favourite bit of weddings, were funny and it felt like the long-awaited celebration it was.
My memories of the evening [...]
